π Hi, OGCommunity! It's time for today's hottest news:
Dead Before Birth β The Predicted Failure of Concord Has Happened.
The release of Concord on PC has been a disappointment, with the game barely reaching a peak of 700 players online. Yet another so-called "Overwatch killer" has turned out to be a self-killer.
While the game has been praised for its classic gameplay and optimization, that's where the positives end. There are plenty of issues, though β from the dull character design (so uninspiring that there's not even a single piece of rule34 art), to the bland mechanics, and most notably, the price. Itβs unclear how Concord expected to compete with the free-to-play Overwatch while charging $40 and offering nothing radically new.
Meanwhile, as players scratch their heads over why they should pay for this game, the developers are promising at least a year of content support. Good luck to them.
