Netflix is making yet another move into the gaming industry, and this time, they’re bringing the hardcore action game Sifu to the big screen! The film will be directed by Chad Stahelski, the mastermind behind John Wick, so expect slick fight choreography, intense action, and brutal martial arts sequences—exactly what Sifu deserves.

Sifu is a 2022 hardcore action game about martial arts, developed by indie studio Sloclap. The story follows a young fighter seeking revenge for his murdered mentor. The game’s key mechanic is its unique aging system—after every death, the protagonist gets older and more experienced, but also weaker.
