🩸 Hey, OGCommunity! Time for some hot news:
Mel from Arcane joins League of Legends — The new season system kicks off with a Noxus-themed start.
Mel Medarda, one of the key figures from Arcane, is finally making her way into League of Legends. Developers have confirmed that she will be added to the game by the end of January 2025.
Known for her political cunning and manipulative prowess, Mel brings a new strategic layer to the Rift. Her kit introduces a unique mechanic: the ability to reflect enemy projectiles. Using her Mirror Shield, Mel can send incoming projectiles back to their attackers. Both targeted and untargeted spells are reflected and retain their original effects, making her a formidable counterplay option. She can be unlocked for free by completing a special in-game mission.
Recently, Riot released a cinematic primarily focused on showcasing Noxus, the setting for the first League of Legends season. However, the quality of animation and familiar faces have led many fans to speculate that this might also serve as a teaser for the next animated series. As a reminder, Riot is planning three new adaptations set in Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia.
